Curved Glass Boat Windshields

This 1974 model Hatteras recently had the acrylic boat windshields replaced with fiberglass replacement boat window frames and curved glass boat windshields.  The original boat windshields were made from plexi-glass and the frames were constructed from aluminum. Using these materials was probably the easiest way to accommodate for the curved design of the windshield. These windows were leaking and the plexi-glass was aged with visible crazing.

The curved laminated safety glass and fiberglass frames were custom built for this Hatteras. The windows were a great improvement that stopped future leaks. In this particular application, the customer selected tinted glass.
